Emotional CPR Training Face-to-Face Workshop EOI
Tuesday 28 October 10:00am – 4:00pm and Wednesday 29 October 10:00am – 4:00pm Are you supporting friends, family or community members experiencing mental ill-health? Register your interest for a free 2-day, in person workshop to learn skills to support yourself and others through emotional distress. Participants must attend both days. Please note: Submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) doesn’t guarantee a spot in the workshop. All EOIs will be reviewed, and carers will be notified in early October about the outcome. Emotional CPR (eCPR) training teaches people to support themselves and others through an emotional crisis by utilising three simple steps of connecting, empowering, and revitalising. eCPR training is for everyone. People who use eCPR report that it becomes a way of life and strengthens their relationships with family, friends, co-workers, ourselves and the world. You’ll Receive: certificate of completion as an eCPR practitioner (12 hours) eCPR resource workbook opportunity for ongoing connection and training through Arafmi. Interactive training workshop. A Personal, Portable Summary: for Us and the Person We Support (Online)
Create a simple summary with the consent of the person you support that can be used for health appointments. 1-hour, free information session for mental health carers. Do you have to repeat the same details about the person you support every time you meet a new clinician or service provider? A personal and portable summary can make your life easier. In this free session, you'll learn how to create a simple, adaptable document to keep track of important information—like medical history, medications, key contacts and support needs—so you don’t have to start from scratch every time. Consent is a critical part of this prior to sharing. You’ll walk away with: a ready-to-use portable summary template tips on what to include and how to keep it updated a practical tool to reduce stress and ensure accurate information is shared. Join us to learn how to make appointments and assessments a little easier. This information session is designed specifically for family members, kin, young carers, friends and other individuals who support someone experiencing mental ill-health.
