What can our respite accommodation offer you?

Looking for a chance to recharge? Arafmi’s Carer Respite 5-Star Accommodation is the perfect place to unwind. Whether you want to spend time with family or friends, enjoy some solo downtime, or take part in wellbeing activities, this peaceful retreat has it all.

You’ll have exclusive use of a spacious three-bedroom upper-level space for one to three nights, completely free. Our Respite Coordinators will make sure you feel extra special, offering thoughtful little gifts and suggesting activities based on your preferences.

comfortable bedrooms to rest and recharge
a sunny deck for relaxing morning teas
a fully equipped kitchen for cooking your favourite meals (self-catering)
Smart TVs to enjoy your favourite shows and movies
easy access to local attractions, including river walks and the CityCat ferry
optional wellbeing activities, including workshops, support groups, and one-on-one support on weekdays
accessibility features, including a lift and facilities to meet individual access needs.

Who can stay at the respite accommodation?

unpaid carers who are supporting someone experiencing mental ill-health
children aged 10 and above
please note, the person you care for is not able to attend or stay at the accommodation, but we can discuss alternative care arrangements with you.

Rest is truly a luxury I can’t say I have, but coming here resets my body and mind...The ambience, the little touches, the variety of activities, snacks, local spots to eat or walk to make this feel like a holiday. We were so happy to be the first mother/daughter/First Nations carers here. It is an honour to feel so seen and heard. Thank you all.

Words cannot express my appreciation for the kindness, care, and love shown to me over these two days. The unit here is so beautiful and I noticed every loving touch in setting it up for us carers to enjoy. Oh, it was a piece of heaven!

The respite has made such a difference to my outlook – I can now see a positive future ahead. I am able to think much clearer and have come home happier and less stressed. Pass on my thanks to all the amazing staff.
