Tuesday 28 October 10:00am – 4:00pm and Wednesday 29 October 10:00am – 4:00pm Are you supporting friends, family or community members experiencing mental ill-health? Register your interest for a free 2-day, in person workshop to learn skills to support yourself and others through emotional distress. Participants must attend both days. Please note: Submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) doesn’t guarantee a spot in the workshop. All EOIs will be reviewed, and carers will be notified in early October about the outcome. Emotional CPR (eCPR) training teaches people to support themselves and others through an emotional crisis by utilising three simple steps of connecting, empowering, and revitalising. eCPR training is for everyone. People who use eCPR report that it becomes a way of life and strengthens their relationships with family, friends, co-workers, ourselves and the world. You’ll Receive: certificate of completion as an eCPR practitioner (12 hours) eCPR resource workbook opportunity for ongoing connection and training through Arafmi. Interactive training workshop. In this session of Arafmi’s Future Planning Workshops, we will have representatives from Independent Patient Rights Advisers (IPRA) and Basic Rights Queensland (BRQ). IPRA will speak on topics to aide you in navigating your rights and the rights of the people you support under the Mental Health act. BRQ will speak about helping you navigate Centrelink, the various forms and documents you may need as well as carer payments, discrimination and employment. After this workshop, we will be preparing an online version for those unable to attend the in person event. Keep an eye out for this invitation in your inbox later in the month.
