2-night Sunshine Coast Carer Retreat – Expression of Interest (EOI)
Join Arafmi for a 2-night carer retreat at the Glass House Mountains.Arafmi’s 2-night Sunshine Coast Carer Retreat will take place from Monday 26 May - Wednesday 28 May. The retreat will be held at the Glass House Mountains.During your stay, you'll have the option to participate in all the activities listed below, or you can choose to spend some time alone with a member of the carer support team, or simply relax in the grounds, read, and explore.At the retreat you will have the opportunity to:Participate in mindfulness activitiesEnjoy group dinnersTake part in painting activitiesTake a walk through the rainforestMeet and chat with members of the Arafmi Carer Carer Support TeamMeet and chat with other carersAccommodation arrangements:· Each retreat participant has their own private bedroom with linen provided.· There is a range of accommodation types including bungalows which are suitable for couples, single rooms, family rooms and 2 train carriages. All have bathrooms and some have kitchenettes while others have kitchens. A free two-day , in person workshop to learn skills to support yourself and others through emotional distressThursday 29 May 10:00am – 4:00pm and Friday 30 May 10:00am – 4:00pmAre you supporting friends, family or community members experiencing mental ill-health?Register your interest for a free 2-day, in person workshop to learn skills to support yourself and others through emotional distress. Participants must attend both days.Please note: Submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) doesn’t guarantee a spot in the workshop. All EOIs will be reviewed, and carers will be notified in early May about the outcome.Emotional CPR (eCPR) training teaches people to support themselves and others through an emotional crisis by utilising three simple steps of connecting, empowering, and revitalising. eCPR training is for everyone. People who use eCPR report that it becomes a way of life and strengthens their relationships with family, friends, co-workers, ourselves and the world.You’ll Receive:certificate of completion as an eCPR practitioner (12 hours)eCPR resource workbookopportunity for ongoing connection and training through Arafmi.Interactive training workshop. 1-day Sunshine Coast Carer Retreat – Expression of Interest (EOI)
Join Arafmi for a 1-day carer retreat at the Glass House Mountains.Arafmi’s 1-day Sunshine Coast Carer Retreat will take place on Tuesday 27 May 2025 and will run from 9am - 4pm. The retreat will be held at the Glass House Mountains.During the day, you'll have the option to participate in all the activities listed below, or you can choose to spend some time alone with a member of the carer support team, or simply relax in the grounds, read, and explore.At the retreat you will have the opportunity to:Take part in painting workshop.Enjoy mindfulness activitiesTake a walk through the rainforestLunch in the train carriageMeet and chat with members of the Arafmi Carer Carer Support TeamMeet and chat with other carers* Please note that an EOI does not mean you have a ticket to the day retreat. There are a limited amount of spots available and all EOI will be assessed for suitability. Priority will be given to carers who haven't recently accessed Arafmi respite or retreats.If allocated EOI's have been exhausted, please join the waitlist so we can contact you if more places become available.
