Join us for Coffee Connect on the second Wednesday of the month in Murrumba Downs. All carers supporting family or friends experiencing mental ill-health are welcome.

Caring for a Spouse or Partner Support Group (Online)

Caring for a spouse or partner with a mental health illness is a different experience to caring for an adult child or other family member or friend. This support group has been created in response to feedback our carers and will be an online space where carers can connect and support each other. 

Understanding the NDIS – Carer Coach Module 1 and 2

Understanding the NDIS session is designed to assist carers to understand what the NDIS is and how to apply for a NDIS package.Carer Coach is a five module training series that Arafmi has developed to help mental health carers and the people they care for navigate the NDIS. It brings together information from a range of quality NDIS resources relevant to mental health carers. We have combined the information with the invaluable knowledge Arafmi’s frontline workers have developed through supporting people through the NDIS process, to provide carers with accurate and easily accessible information.

Self-Care Day Retreat for Carers – Expression of Interest (EOI)

Join Arafmi for a 1-day Self-Care Retreat at Caloundra.Join Arafmi for a free self-care day retreat for carers and supporters who are providing emotional or practical care to family, friends or kin experiencing mental ill-health.This self-care retreat will take place on Tuesday 15 October 2024 and will be held at Caloundra.Come along for a day of pampering including:a self-care workshopmorning tea and lunchYoga Nidra session in the afternoongift bagongoing support and connection.* Please note that an EOI does not mean you have a ticket to the day retreat. There are a limited amount of spots available and all EOI will be assessed for suitability.If allocated EOI's have been exhausted, please join the waitlist so we can contact you if more places become available.
