Connecting with Community Support workshop provides carers with an opportunity to increase their awareness of how people communicate and what skills are needed. A range of communication strategies will be explored to build carers confidence and skills and assist them to improve relationships now and in the future.
Caring for a loved one with a Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) can bring with it some unique challenges. This support group has been created specifically to support the carers of those with a BPD and is a result of recent feedback from our carers.

Third Friday of each month from 10am. Our Redcliffe Carer Support Group offers a supportive environment where people have the opportunity to talk about their feelings, help explore alternative ways of coping, offer support to other group members, or to simply listen and observe. Support groups are also a valuable means of informing carers of Arafmi services and resources that are available to assist their caring role.
Developing a Carer Statement session will cover useful information to include in a carer statement and different formats that can be used when applying for NDIS funding, a statement from a carer can provide valuable information to assist someone to successfully gain access.
Preparing for the Planning Meeting session is designed to assist carers to understand and prepare for the NDIS planning meeting with the NDIS planner.
