Workshop: Creating and Maintaining Healthy Personal Boundaries

This Workshop: Creating and Maintaining Healthy Personal Boundaries is designed specifically for people who care for a friend or family member with mental health needs. We need boundaries to protect us, put us in charge of our own lives, promote health relationships, independence and reduce stress and conflict. In this workshop we will look at what boundaries are and how and when to practice steps to set personal boundaries.

Workshop: Substance Use

Sue O’Brien will be presenting this session. She works as a Family Counsellor for Breakthrough For Families program. This program provides support to family members and significant others who have a loved one with problematic substance use.  She has a Masters in Social work and also ‘lived in’ experience of a loved one’s problematic substance use.

This session will provide you with general information about medicines and how to safely use them, links to useful resources and an opportunity to ask questions. (Please note this session is providing general information only.
