Culture Care
Culture Care can help. We listen and provide support face-to-face in the Brisbane area or by phone. Our team includes multicultural peer support and interpreters, allowing us to offer support that reflects language, culture, and lived experience.
Culture Care also runs group programs and support groups that build social connection, provide education, and help people learn more about the services available to them.

How can Culture Care help you?
If you look after someone in your family or community who often feels worried, stressed or sad, you may be a carer.
We can help you with:
- your stress and worries
- finding support, services and information
- feeling less alone, by connecting you with others who understand what you are going through.
Culture Care offers two support groups for its mental health CALD carers in the community — one located on the Northside (Chermside) of Brisbane and the other on the Southside (Upper Mount Gravatt).
These groups provide a safe and welcoming environment where participants can:
- share personal experiences
- explore alternative coping strategies
- learn simple, practical tools to enhance wellbeing
- offer mutual support to fellow group members
- or simply listen and reflect.
Support groups also serve as a valuable opportunity to connect carers with services and resources offered by Arafmi and the World Wellness Group (WWG), designed to assist them in their caring roles.
Let us know you are interested, by completing the face-to-face carer support groups form.
Who can Culture Care help?
- Adults (over 18) from a multicultural background who look after someone with mental ill-health. This could be a family member, a friend, a neighbour or someone in the community.
- Community and faith leaders, who are often the first point of contact for support in multicultural communities.
