
Young Carer Mini Retreat
Join us for a free two day young carer (Aged 18-25) mini retreat jam packed full of activities, workshops, morning & afternoon tea, lunch, snacks and connections to other young carers and free community supports.
Overnight stay Thursday 16th October: If you are interested in taking one of the 3 spots available to stay at the Arafmi Respite Hub with other young carers (3 maximum) please express your interest and we will be in touch to discuss further.
Day 1
Little Dreamers Activity 10.30am – 12.30pm
Quiet the Critic: Empowering Your Inner Voice
Join us for a fun, supportive workshop where we’ll explore how to turn down the volume on negative self-talk and boost self-confidence from the inside out. Through creative activities, real talk, and powerful tools, you’ll learn how to recognize your inner critic—and transform it into a voice of encouragement. Let’s build a mindset that lifts you up, not holds you back.
Leticia Colins 1.00pm-3.00pm two hour Mindful Watercolour Workshop
Participants will learn to use simple Watercolour techniques to create their own A5 botanical artwork (which will be framed!), all the while practicing mindfulness and self-expression. Participants are encouraged to experiment and play to unleash their creativity. Guidance is provided throughout. Participants will leave with their own framed piece of botanical artwork to take home.

Day two
Mind Blank 10.30am – 12.30pm 1.5 hour live show model with a 30min workshop running a reflective activity post workshop. 2 hours in total

✅ We will hear powerful lived experience stories—raw, real, and deeply moving.
✅ We will explore real-world ways to support youth and promote better mental health outcomes.
