Understanding the NDIS – Carer Coach Module 1 and 2
Understanding the NDIS session is designed to assist carers to understand what the NDIS is and how to apply for a NDIS package.Carer Coach is a five module training series that Arafmi has developed to help mental health carers and the people they care for navigate the NDIS. It brings together information from a range of quality NDIS resources relevant to mental health carers. We have combined the information with the invaluable knowledge Arafmi’s frontline workers have developed through supporting people through the NDIS process, to provide carers with accurate and easily accessible information.
Developing a Safety Plan (Online)
This session will explore the purpose of developing a safety plan with the person you support, when to do this and how.Developing a Safety Plan session is designed specifically for people who care for a friend or family member with mental health needs.
Online Carer Support Group
Our online support groups provide a safe and supportive environment where participants can share their experiences, explore alternative coping strategies, support other group members, or simply listen and observe.
Self-Care (Online)
The workshop will help you gain a greater understanding of what self-care is for you and develop your own self-care plan.

Murrumba Downs Coffee Connect
Join us for Coffee Connect on the second Wednesday of the month in Murrumba Downs. Drop in, have a chat and catch up with Arafmi and other carers.
All mental health carers supporting family members, kin or friends experiencing mental ill-health are welcome.

Recording information centrally can save retelling information over and over and ensure accurate details about a person’s history, needs and supports are maintained.It is designed specifically for family members, kin, young carers, friends and other individuals who support someone experiencing mental ill-health. We are a Queensland-based service.
