Communicating with the Person you Support (Online)
The workshop provides carers with communication skills to build a strong and respectful relationship with the person they support.The workshop provides carers with an opportunity to increase their awareness of how people communicate and what skills are needed at different times to build a strong and respectful relationship with the person they support. A range of communication strategies will be explored to build carers confidence and skills and assist them to improve relationships now and in the future. This workshop is based on the L.E.A.P. communication strategy.It is designed specifically for family members, kin, young carers, friends and other individuals who support someone experiencing mental ill-health. We are a Queensland-based service.

This workshop provides carers with practical resources and information to assist people at different points in their caring journey.This session explores an understanding mental health supports, terminology, tips for communicating with clinicians, developing a stay well committee and knowing where to go for information and supports.It is designed specifically for family members, kin, young carers, friends and other individuals who support someone experiencing mental ill-health. We are a Queensland-based service.
