This workshop explores what recovery means for individuals and strategies to support recovery for carers and the person they care for.
Fourth Thursday of each month 10am - 12 noon. Our Caboolture Carer Support Group offer a supportive environment where people have the opportunity to talk about their feelings, help explore alternative ways of coping, offer support to other group members, or to simply listen and observe. Support groups are also a valuable means of informing carers of Arafmi services and resources that are available to assist their caring role.
This session is designed to assist carers to understand what the NDIS is, who is eligible to apply and how to apply for an NDIS package.
LEAP (Listen, Empathise, Agree and Partner) is a communication program that helps create relationships with people who are unable to understand they are ill (known as anosognosia), with the goal of helping them accept treatment. LEAP is an evidence-based communication program.
