Caring for a loved one with a dual diagnosis can bring with it some unique challenges. This support group has been created specifically to support the carers of those with a dual diagnosis and is a result of recent feedback from our carers.
Carer Social Walking Group: You are invited to join us for a relaxed morning of walking and talking on the river. We are meeting at the outside of the Garden Café at 10am and will then set off for a walk around the park. This is a chance to connect with other carers. If you have any questions and to RSVP, please email us on the link below.
Arafmi Carer Information Session: You are invited to an information session about the Office of the Public Guardian’s role for adults with impaired decision-making capacity. Christian Loveday from Office of the Public Guardian will share information about: The Guardianship system, Role and function of Public Guardian, Guardianship decision making.
Our Support Groups offer a supportive environment where people have the opportunity to talk about their feelings, help explore alternative ways of coping, offer support to other group members, or to simply listen and observe. Support groups are also a valuable means of informing carers of Arafmi services and resources that are available to assist their caring role.
