Our Indooroopilly Carer Support Group offers a supportive environment where people have the opportunity to talk about their feelings, help explore alternative ways of coping, offer support to other group members, or to simply listen and observe. Support groups are also a valuable means of informing carers of Arafmi services and resources that are available to assist their caring role.

Thanks to technology, Arafmi can bring our free supports and services to carers throughout the state.The support group will take place on the first Wednesday of each month online from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Recording information centrally can save retelling information over and over and ensure accurate details about a person’s history, needs and supports are maintained.

Boundaries Practice Group

To register for the group, completion of the Creating & Maintaining Personal Healthy Boundaries Workshop is required. The Boundaries Practice Group supports mental health carers in developing skills and confidence in setting, communicating, and upholding boundaries. It is a facilitated group that provides a space for reflecting on skills and situations, problem-solving and role-playing with peer support.
