How can Arafmi help?
Arafmi offers a range of free support services for mental health carers in regional and remote areas across Queensland. These are specifically designed for anyone caring for a family member, friend or community member experiencing mental ill-health and include: carer support groups, one-to-one support, online carer workshops and carer well-being events.
Carer support groups
Caring for someone living with mental ill-health can feel lonely at times, but you don’t have to face it alone. Arafmi’s support groups give you a chance to chat, share what you’re going through, or just listen. It’s all about supporting each other and finding ways to cope together.
We understand that living in regional areas can make it harder to find the support you need. That’s we why offer groups specifically for you:
- in-person groups in regional areas – led by volunteers with their own Lived Experience as mental health carers.
- online regional support group– join us on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:30pm–7:30pm to connect with others online.
