Description

BEING HEARD

Designed primarily for carers who are new to caring or still finding their way through the mental health system.

Caring can begin suddenly, and it is not always clear what information matters, what you can ask for or how to take part in conversations with health professionals. In this practical workshop, participants will practise four moves for a conversation with a service: prepare, describe, ask and record. They will learn how to say what they have noticed clearly, make a specific request and leave with one action they can use in their next contact with a service.
